The newlyweds were about to cut their wedding cake. It was a white five-tier cake decorated with pearls and edible white, golden, and silver roses. The whole scene reminded Trisha of her wedding. She sighed deeply and gulped down her champagne. Much to her surprise, she instantly felt better.
“Are you ok?” Sid looked concerned at Trisha and the empty champagne glass in her hand.
“Yeah, I am having a good time.” She smiled at him and felt her head getting dizzy. “My mind just wandered off for a second.”
Sid grinned. “Yeah, there is always something to do. For now, enjoy the moment. You are at your best friend’s sister’s wedding.”
Trisha nodded and looked at Meera, who was rubbing her baby bump. “You are right, Sid. We should enjoy the moment.”

“Hey Trish,” said Meera, who had swapped seats with her husband. “Sid is absolutely a hunk! You two seem to be getting along well.” Fan was now standing behind Trisha. “He is cute and interested in you, Trish,” she whispered.
“No, he is not,” Trisha hissed.
“Yes, he is,” the two friends said simultaneously and burst out laughing, attracting the attention of the others. Trisha noticed Jen staring at them, annoyed, especially at her. She did not look amused, or was it just her imagination? Had she heard what her friends had said? Trisha gave her a polite smile and continued her conversation with her friends.
“Seems like the girls are having fun, Li Jun,” said Chris, Meera’s husband.
Li Jun, Fan’s husband, chuckled. Yes, it seems like it. The Spice Girls have reunited again, Chris. They will be going on a tour soon.
“He is coming,” said Fan in a soft voice. The three of them watched as Sid approached the table.
Sid sat down and was about to say something to Meera’s husband when Jen stroked his hand in which he was holding a glass of water.
